Authorities search murder suspect’s home

Sheriff’s office issues search warrants as follow up to murder investigation
Update: Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives have conducted a follow-up to last month’s murder investigation near Paso Robles by serving search warrants at several locations in northern San Luis Obispo County, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s office reported.
The suspect in that murder case, Thomas Yanaga, made bail on April 8. Yanaga was one of three arrested Wednesday in King’s County on attempted murder charges for a shooting incident which occurred in Hanford early wednesday morning. Three locations were searched in Paso Robles. Investigators are looking for additional evidence that may be useful to this case, according to the sheriff’s office.
The locations where the investigations happened were the 400 block Gahan Place— Yanaga’s residence— and also two other locations: a home in the 200 block Santa Ysabel Avenue in Paso Robles, and a home in the 2200 block of Oak Street in Paso Robles. When asked if the other two homes were the residences of friends or family of Yanaga’s, sheriff’s office spokesman Tony Cipolla said, “Yes, they were other homes that were important for the case,” but declined to share any more details about the residents.
The investigation is continuing. No further information is available at this time.

Murder suspect released on bail, rearrested on attempted murder
Thomas Nolan Yanaga, 52, Paso Robles
Thomas Yanaga, 52, currently charged in San Luis Obispo County with the March 14 murder of Marshall Savoy, was arrested early this morning in Kings County for attempted murder.
Yanaga had been released from the San Luis Obispo County Jail on April 10th, 2015, when he posted $1,000,000 bail.
No further information is available at this time.
