A-Town Art Hop brings creativity to El Camino Real

Art hop returns this year as a two-day event

    – The A-Town Art Hop will return to Downtown Atascadero on June 13 and June 14 as an expanded, two-day community event featuring regional artists, live demonstrations, and local business participation.

The self-guided event begins Friday, June 13, from 6 to 9 p.m., and continues Saturday, June 14, from 12 to 5 p.m. More than 20 downtown businesses along Traffic Way, El Camino Real, and Entrada Avenue will host artists working in various mediums, including two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, digital art, photography, illustration, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media.

The event will also include live art demonstrations, music, and immersive installations.

Opening night on June 13 will feature a group art show at The Poisoned Apple on El Camino Real. Organizers describe the exhibition as having a curious and creative theme inspired by the date, Friday the 13th.

On Saturday, June 14, visitors can walk through downtown to view artwork, meet local artists, and enjoy food and beverages from participating businesses.

Organizers said the 2025 Art Hop is part of a larger revitalization of Downtown Atascadero.

“This year’s Art Hop is about getting people walking, gathering, and reconnecting with the incredible spaces, shops, and restaurants that make Atascadero special,” organizers said. “It’s a community reawakening, and we’re grateful to the City of Atascadero for laying the foundation for events like this to thrive.”

The event is free and open to all ages. A downloadable event map and additional information are available at atownarthop.org.
