Driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel– California Highway Patrol officers responded to a vehicle collision on Highway 41 near Cerro Alto Road in Atascadero around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to multiple reports.
The driver was traveling north on Highway 41 at unknown speeds when he allegedly fell asleep and crashed into the hillside next to the road. Firefighters extricated the driver, who was later transported to Sierra Vista Hospital Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, according to reports
Highway 41 between Atascadero and Morro Bay was partially blocked Thursday afternoon.
