‘Acting for Singers’ and ‘Triple Threat’ classes now forming

Want to “up your game” as a singer by being super connected to your song? Want to grab an audience and keep ‘em? Want to learn techniques for dealing with stage fright and performance anxiety? Professional actress & singer Dawn Spare will offer a 5-week workshop at Pacific Dance Center, 698 Morro Bay Blvd., Morro Bay, beginning Oct. 14 for 5 consecutive Tuesday nights from 7-9:30pm.

All types of singers and all styles of music welcome. Dawn will work with you one-on-one on your stage presence & songs. Cost is $120 for 5 week series. Class size is limited. Contact Dawn Spare at (805) 610-5601 or dawnspare@gmail.com to register or for more information.

Dellos Performing Arts Center of Arroyo Grande is offering free Triple Threat Workshop Demo Class on Oct. 18 at 9 a.m.
Join professional actress and singer Dawn Spare on Sat. Oct. 18th from 9-10:30 a.m. at DPAC for a free demonstration class of her upcoming “Singing and Acting Triple Threat Workshop for Dancers.”

Open to students ages 8-18, this participatory workshop will give a sample of what to expect in Spare’s workshop for dancers who want to become triple threat performers by developing their acting and singing skills.

Triple threat performers have the competitive edge when they audition. When dancers develop their skill as singers and actors, they increase their chances of being cast, as so many jobs and roles today require you to be a “crossover” performer.

The free workshop will be held on the same day as the DPAC Annual Rummage Sale, on Sat. Oct 18 from 9-10:30 a.m. at DPAC, 1229 E. Grand, Arroyo Grande, CA.

After the free demo class, the Triple Threat Workshop will be on five Saturdays at DPAC on Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 15, 22, and Dec. 6 from 1-3:30pm at a cost of $125 for the series.

For more information contact Dawn Spare at dawnspare@gmail.com or (805) 610-5601 or Johnna at DPAC (805) 473-0898.
