Gentle giant is well behaved and waiting for his new forever home
– The adoptable pet of the week this week is Kai from Woods Humane in San Luis Obispo. He may be large, but he is really just a gentle giant. The only thing he loves more than a treat is humans. He’s the biggest, sweetest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet. He is super smart and eager to please. He is very gentle, well behaved and knows lots of different commands like, sit, down, go to bed, wait for food and he’s house trained!
Kai would love a family that can spend lots of time with him and shows him the love he deserves. He likes going on walks, playing with his toys, and chasing bubbles. He’s 5 years one month old, is a Pit Bull Terrier, is neutered, and weighs in at 83 lbs.

During Woods’ “Love is in the Air” promo they were able to find 140 animals new homes before Valentine’s day and thanks to local business owner Giovanni DeGarimore covering adoption fees last week in memory of his dog Tyson, 56 animals were adopted in just 6 days. The pet of the week last week Blush was adopted and Woods’ longest resident dog Shnookums got adopted after one year and one day at the shelter.
