Gentle giant seeks experienced handler
– This week’s Adoptable Pet of the Week is Monch from Woods Humane Society San Luis Obispo. Monch is 2 years old and is a gentle giant whose looking for an experienced handler that can give him the time and training he needs. He may be large but he’s “really just a big butterball,” according to the staff at Woods.
He loves people and will excitedly greet you. He’s pretty strong on leash so will need someone who can handle him. He could use some more training, but is “very treat motivated.” He has made doggie friends at Woods, however, he can sometimes become possessive of toys and people that he loves in the presence of other dogs, so this behavior will need to be modified or managed in a home with other dogs.
