– The Adoptable Pet of the Week this week is Sunday, a cat available for adoption through North County Paws Cause in Paso Robles.
Sunday has been in foster care for several months after her previous owner surrendered her due to an unplanned pregnancy. According to organizers, she was scheduled for a spay appointment, but a veterinary technician noticed movement in her abdomen while preparing her for surgery. The appointment was stopped, and the staff confirmed she was pregnant.
She delivered her kittens three days later on a Sunday morning, which is how she received her name. Her kittens have since been adopted.
Sunday is described as sweet, nurturing, protective, and gentle. She is shy and timid, but participates during treat time and playtime. She is a young cat with black fur, white markings on her chin, chest, tummy, and paws, and green eyes.
