After life-saving surgery, kitten Winston is thriving
– The Adoptable Pet of the Week this week is Winston, a 7-month-old neutered male kitten available for adoption through North County Paws Cause in Paso Robles.
Winston, a white kitten with black van-patterned markings who may be part Turkish Van, came into foster care severely underweight and weak. A veterinarian later discovered a large polyp growing behind his soft palate that was blocking his throat and preventing him from eating or breathing properly. After surgery to remove the polyp, Winston quickly regained his appetite and began recovering.
Initially shy, Winston has since learned to trust his caregivers and now enjoys playing with other cats in his foster home. He is especially fond of laser pointer play, treats, brushing and high-energy zoomies.
Winston does best with feline companions and must be adopted into a home with another cat to play with. Because of his mostly white coat, he should also live indoors only.
