Adoptable pets of the week: Isaac and Opolo
–This week’s edition of North County Adoptable Pets of the Week features Great Dane and Mastiff mix Isaac and tortoiseshell-colored cat Opolo.
The cat of the week from North County Humane Society is Opolo.
Opolo is named after the winery where she was found – hanging out with the barn cats. With her soft, fluffy long coat, she didn’t look like she belonged outside, and a concerned winery worker brought her to NCHS where she has lived for about six months.
Opolo is a 2-year-old, long hair, tortoiseshell colored cat with a white belly and “socks.” She has a unique “shorty” tail. While shy when she first came to NCHS, she has blossomed into a playful, friendly girl who will sit on a lap or climb on your shoulder. Opolo has been spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped, and she is ready to join the right household today.
Available cats and kittens can be seen on the website at www.slonchs.org. Potential pet parents are also encouraged to stop by and visit with the cats to find the right one for their family.
The North County Humane Society is located just off of Highway 101 by the Del Rio Road exit at 2300 Ramona Rd. in Atascadero. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Complete information is listed on the website, or call NCHS at (805) 466-5403.
Available for adoption this week from Second Chance at Love, a dog rescue and sanctuary in Templeton that takes in abandoned, neglected, abused or abandoned dogs, is Isaac.
Isaac was rescued with his litter mates just in the nick of time from a high kill shelter in Central Valley. Although he is small now this 4-month-old Great Dane and Mastiff mix is going to be about 60-70 lbs when he’s fully grown.
This handsome guy is smart, very social, and loves his pack walks. He is super friendly and a volunteer favorite.
