AIDS/Life-cycle ride travels through San Luis Obispo County

–More than 2,300 cyclists and nearly 650 volunteer “roadies” will continue their 7-day, 545-mile journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 6, beginning in Paso Robles and ending in Santa Maria.

AIDS/LifeCycle participants raised more than $16.6 million—a record amount in the event’s history—to support San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the HIV/AIDS-related services of the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Participants are HIV-positive and HIV-negative, LGBT and allies, ages 19 to 90, and from nearly every state and 16 countries.

Note: Most cyclists arrive in the middle of indicated time ranges.

6:30 – 8:30 a.m., Route opens at Mid-State Fairgrounds, 2198 Riverside Ave., Paso Robles

9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Lunch Stop: Cuesta College, CA-1, San Luis Obispo

1 – 7 p.m., Camp 4: Preisker Park, 330 Hidden Pines Way, Santa Maria

Camp officially closes each night at 9:30 p.m.
