Air ambulance organization hosts informational training day at Twin Cities

twin cities helicopter trainingCALSTAR, an air ambulance organization, held an informational training day at Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton on Wednesday, and made quite an entrance by landing their helicopter at the hospital’s helipad.

The training was for various departments at the staff that may be engaged when there is a patient that may be transferred to (or from) the hospital. Twin Cities is the county’s busiest emergency department. CALSTAR provided a similar training at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, the county’s only trauma center, about two weeks ago with various county emergency services agencies. The training is a collaborative effort in order to ensure full readiness of all the agencies in response to any emergency that occurs in San Luis Obispo county.
