Airport to celebrate first flight between SLO and Seattle

The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport is celebrating Alaska Airlines’ inaugural flight between San Luis Obispo and Seattle.

Key stakeholders will give brief remarks with followed by a ribbon cutting, a cake cutting, and a special fly-by.

The ceremony is at the airport on Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to noon when the first flight will depart for Seattle.

Speakers include:

• Adam Hill, 3rd District Supervisor, San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors
• Kevin Bumen, Director of Airports, San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport
• Chuck Davison, President & CEO, Visit SLO CAL
• Eloisa Valdez, Sales & Community Marketing Manager, Alaska Airlines
