Richard Verruni awarded for contributions to Paso Robles hospitality
– Richard Verruni, general manager of Allegretto Vineyard Resort, has received the 2025 Travel Paso Visitor Experience Award in recognition of his leadership and contributions to the Paso Robles tourism industry.
The award was presented on May 8 during the Travel Paso Tourism Round Up. It honors individuals and organizations that demonstrate service excellence and enhance the visitor experience in the region.
Verruni has more than 45 years of experience in the global hospitality industry, with a background in luxury hotel operations, sales strategies and executive management. He joined Allegretto Vineyard Resort in 2017. Since then, the property has become one of the most recognized destinations in California wine country.
Under Verruni’s leadership, the resort has earned the AAA Four Diamond Award and received national recognition for its design, service and guest experiences. It has been featured among USA Today’s 10Best and Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 10 California Resorts.
Allegretto Vineyard Resort includes an art collection, vineyard views, a sonic labyrinth, the Star Garden Trail, Cello Ristorante & Bar and Spa Allegretto. Verruni’s direction has helped shape the resort experience around those features.
The Travel Paso Visitor Experience Award acknowledges Verruni’s career and his role in promoting Paso Robles as a tourism destination.
Allegretto Vineyard Resort is located on 20 acres of vineyards and orchards on the east side of Paso Robles. The resort features 171 guest rooms and suites, a wine-tasting lounge, a full-service spa, pool and cabanas, gardens, walking paths, an abbey, a piazza and a collection of global art and artifacts.
