Almond Country Quilters meet Feb. 3

Almond country quilters

–The Almond Country Quilters Guild invites the public to their general meeting on Monday Feb. 3, at the Trinity Lutheran Church located at 940 Creston Road in Paso Robles. The meeting starts at 6:30 pm.

The February Program will be a presentation by Terry Waldron (terrywaldron.com), who will be teaching a landscape class to guild members on Feb. 4.

The Almond Country Quilters Guild was founded in July 1989 by a group of quilters who wanted to revitalize the art of quilting. Their mission is to promote knowledge and encourage participation in the craft and art of quilting, patchwork, appliqué, and other aspects of quilt making. Additionally, they strive to be an information network for quilters and to continually promote interest in quilting.

Membership is open to anyone over the age of sixteen, or those over twelve years of age with a sponsor. The guild has members with a variety of experience and abilities.  They encourage anyone interested, with any level of skill, to join the guild. They even encourage people who are not interested in sewing, but are interested in learning about quilts to join.
