Amber alert out of Paso Robles deactivated

–The child, Benz Magana has been located at the Lexington Inn in San Luis Obispo. The child is unharmed and was with Ami Magana. The San Luis Obispo Police Department responded to the location and locate the associated vehicle.

On August 8, 2019 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Paso Robles Police Department officers responded to a report of a kidnapping in the 700 block of 23rd Street. Officers learned that Ami Magana, a 47 year old female, had taken her 4 year old son from pre-school. Ami has no custodial rights to her son and resides in the state of Arkansas. Ami took the child from Rainbow Bright Christian Learning Center without the permission of the staff and immediately fled the area. Staff members at Rainbow Bright Christian Learning Center immediately called the Paso Robles Police Department.

Officers have been able to track down the vehicle Ami was driving at the time of the incident. The vehicle is a 2019 white Nissan Sentra, with a license plate of 8HZZ682. Ami was last know to be traveling south from Paso Robles, possibly en route to Victorville CA.
