The Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce (PRCC) has announced Tom Madden as Roblan of Year and Paso Robles Horse Park as the Beautification Award recipient for 2017.

– The Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce (PRCC) has announced Tom Madden as Roblan of Year and Paso Robles Horse Park as the Beautification Award recipient for 2017. Both will be honored at the PRCC Annual Gala being held Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Paso Robles Inn Ballroom. In addition, the Chamber will recognize the 2017 Ambassadors of the Year, Nancy Fiske and George Psaltis, install their 2018 Board of Directors and hold a silent and live auction at the event.

Recognition Committee Chair, Liz Alflen, explained the process on how the Roblan is selected. “The Committee receives nominations from the community and we are tasked with selecting just one from the many noteworthy candidates.” She adds, “This year’s recipient for Roblan of the Year, Tom Madden, a partner at Adamski Moroski Madden Cumberland & Green LLP, was suggested by many, including a few past Roblans of the Year, who understand just what this honor means.”

Born and raised in Paso Robles, Tom has spent decades bolstering community service and business organizations. Committee involvements include Paso Robles Pioneer Day, Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival, and Santa Margarita Antique Equipment Show. He is also a supporter of 4-H, was Chairman of the Paso Robles Wine Festival for 2 years, led fundraising for The Boys and Girls Club in Paso and is a Paso Robles High School Alumnus.

“Tom exemplifies what it means to love and support a community. We are excited to honor him,” states Matt McClish, Chairman of the Board for the Chamber. He was also pleased that the Paso Robles Horse Park was chosen for the Beautification Award. This state-of-the-art equestrian competition and event facility is proud to be a premier location on the Central Coast, hosting a variety of local wine and food events, festivals, sporting and fundraising events.

“The Paso Robles Horse Park will help Paso become more than wine country. Their contribution will help Paso emerge as a world-class equestrian destination as well,” adds McClish. “The benefits to our community are obvious and we are thrilled to offer our support and recognize their contribution to the community.”
