Anthony Kalvans supports John Peschong for county supervisor

–Candidate for county supervisor, John Peschong, has received the endorsement of Anthony “Bear” Kalvans, a San Miguel Community Services District director. Recently announcing that he would no longer be running as one of his opponents for county supervisor due to family health issues, Kalvans has decided to endorse Peschong.

When asked about his support, Kalvans said, “The North County consists of a number of unique communities, both urban and rural, and I was running to provide a voice for the rural communities which often times are overlooked. John is a proven leader for the region, and I’m supporting his candidacy because I know as our Supervisor, every resident – no matter the street, town or region, will have someone who is both willing to listen to their concerns and fight for their issues.”

“I am honored to have Anthony’s endorsement,” said Peschong. “He is a hard-working, intelligent person, and I know that his influence in this community will continue to grow. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and I look forward to working with him in an effort to not only strengthen the North County, but also the region as a whole.”

Peschong joins several other candidates in a race to replace current Supervisor Frank Mecham, who announced earlier this year that he would be retiring.

Peschong is a Republican strategist and partner at Meridian Pacific, a political consulting firm. He has previously contributed conservative political columns to The Tribune. He lives in Templeton with his wife, Anna, and their two children.

First District Supervisor includes the City of Paso Robles as well as the communities of San Miguel, Templeton, Heritage Ranch, Shandon, Oak Shores, and Adelaida.
