Applause Children’s Theater presents Annie Jr.

–Applause Children’s Theater has recently announced that their production of Annie Jr. is slated to open for two weekends in May here in Paso Robles.

Seventy-nine dedicated children (ages 6-17) have been rehearsing since January at Applause Children’s Theater, or ACT. ACT theater is a non-profit organization offering children the opportunity to perform live theater in our community. The kids are adorable, respectful, hardworking and very excited for Annie Jr.

Live on-stage May 3 & 4 and May 10 & 11 at Flamson Middle School Auditorium (see www.applausechildrenstheater.com for further details), these kids will bring to life the timeless story of Annie. Scores of parent volunteers have been working tirelessly behind the scenes. Authentic sets and costumes help to create the setting for Annie and the orphans in this “rags to riches” story. ACT is an incredible inclusive theater lead by a very passionate woman, founder and director Vikky Mullin. This is the theater’s 3rd production – Wizard of Oz came to life in 2017, followed by Peter Pan Jr. in 2018. Coming in 2020 is Beauty and The Beast: Save your spot now, sign up at the show.

In addition to the stage productions, ACT offers “Broadway Bound” Summer Day Camp. Children enjoy acting, monologues & scene work, dance, voice, set and costume design, learn about stage makeup – all while having fun.
