Event breaks down budgets, timelines, and building from the ground up
– Catch, an architecture firm based in Paso Robles with a second office in Carpinteria, will host a series of seminars this spring focused on custom home building, renovations, and Accessory Dwelling Units across San Luis Obispo County.
A seminar on custom home design and building will take place Saturday, May 3, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and again Thursday, May 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Catch office, located at 2048 Vine Street in Paso Robles, in the rear garage studio off 21st Street. The session will cover timelines, budgets, common pitfalls, and creative approaches for those interested in building a home from the ground up.
In Cambria, a separate seminar will focus on renovations and additions. That event is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Cambria Chamber of Commerce, located at 767 Main Street. Attendees will learn about permitting, water restrictions, and building considerations in coastal environments.
A third seminar will introduce the concept of Accessory Dwelling Units. Titled “An Introduction to ADUs and Flexible Living,” the session will discuss design options and how ADUs can affect property value and functionality. It will be held Tuesday, April 29, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Catch office in Paso Robles.
