– Art Center Morro Bay will host three upcoming art exhibits from Aug. 7 through Sept. 15: “Everyday Common Things,” “Brushstrokes 2025,” and “Off the Wall.”
“Everyday Common Things,” presented by Morro Bay Art Association, is a members-only exhibit that features artwork inspired by ordinary objects and daily life. The exhibit challenges artists to transform familiar scenes, objects and moments into visual works that reveal hidden significance.
The Central Coast Artists Collective is presenting “Brushstrokes 2025,” an annual California-wide juried painting exhibition organized by The Painter’s Group. The non-themed exhibit includes works in acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolor, encaustic, digital media and collage.
Alongside Brushstrokes, the Central Coast Sculptors will present “Off the Wall,” a sculpture exhibit that replaces the Morro Bay Art Association’s 3D featured artist showcase.
An artist reception for all three exhibits will take place Sunday, Aug. 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Art Center Morro Bay, 835 Main St., Morro Bay.
