Artist Art Sherwyn to showcase studio, outdoor work in Cambria

– The Cambria Center for the Arts announced a new gallery exhibition, “In the Studio; Out on Location,” featuring the work of part-time Cambria resident Art Sherwyn.
The exhibition will be on view from March 3 through April 26, Tuesday through Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m., at the gallery located at 1350 Main St. in Cambria.
Sherwyn has explored art for more than 40 years, working both in his studio and outdoors. He uses different techniques depending on the setting. According to the gallery, Sherwyn’s outdoor work focuses on observation and changes in color and light, while his studio work centers on experimenting with and reinterpreting elements observed in the natural world.
The exhibition will also include work by local artists in a range of media to complement Sherwyn’s pieces.
An artist reception is scheduled for March 7 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the gallery.
