Artist Erin Frisby’s work on display at Brú Coffeehouse

artist-Erin-FrisbyBrú Coffeehouse will feature the artwork of Paso Robles resident, Erin Frisby, during the entire month of February. Brú is located at 5760 El Camino Real in Atascadero.

The show, entitled, “Jackrabbit Brings the News” offers 19 works in pen and ink, paint, collage and fiber that draw on images from dream and storytelling.

Frisby, who tours nationally with her band, Miss Shevaughn & Yuma Wray, gathers inspiration from far-flung destinations. “These travels have taken me to places that have great weight or mystery, sacred spaces with hidden spiritual significance, spiritual, but not tied to specific religion or dogma,” says Frisby.

Expect to see a menagerie of animals and familiar characters from folktales and mythology. Each piece is a window into a story already in progress, a moment or a dream, allowing the viewer to become the storyteller and complete the narrative.

The show is open to the public during Brú Coffeehouse’s regular hours February 2-28.
