Cunningham to honor a Central Coast business each monthPennys-all-american-cafe

Assemblymember Jordan Cunningham today announced the inaugural “Small Business of the Month” award. Penny’s All American Café of Pismo Beach was honored this past week for their efforts to give back to the community. Cunningham will be recognizing a local small business each month that has contributed to the Central Coast through exemplary customer service or helping the community.

“Penny’s Cafe is representative of what our great small business community is all about,” said Cunningham. “They are the culture and fabric of our community, and the work Penny has been doing is well-deserving of recognition.”

Penny’s All American Café is known for supporting numerous charities each year, including Amp Surf (Association of Amputee Surfers), Cal Poly Boosters, Alzheimer’s Central Coast Chapter, and the Jacqualyn Palchak Breast Cancer Fund.

According to Penny’s All American Café website:

“Penny’s All American Cafe began very humbly by Penny and her family over 15 years ago. The cafe has changed a lot since then, but one thing that has remained constant is the emphasis on delicious food in a casual, family friendly cafe setting. In fact, Penny knows a lot about family. Over the years, Penny has worked at the cafe alongside her husband, Dale, daughter, Cheyenne, and 2 sons, Ryan and Derek.”
