Assisted living to host Halloween trunk-or-treat

    trick or treating

Costumes encouraged; hot dogs and drinks available

    – Creston Village Assisted Living will host its second annual Trunk or Treat on Monday, Oct. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at 1919 Creston Rd., Paso Robles.

Attendees may trick-or-treat from decorated vehicle trunks in the facility’s parking lot. Costumes are encouraged. Organizers said hot dogs and drinks will be available for families.

“Last year’s event was a favorite for residents here in our community. Seeing a parade of kids tromping through the dining room on their way to fill buckets with candy brought plenty of smiles,” said Executive Director Adam Bramwell. “Then, families stayed and relaxed in our courtyard to enjoy a quick and easy dinner of grilled hot dogs and chips to play with old and new friends.”

Creston Village said this year’s event will also raise awareness about Alzheimer’s, with the facility contributing donations to its Alzheimer’s Walk team in November.

“At Creston Village, we have an active group of residents who live in our Connections neighborhood,” Bramwell said, referring to the 15-apartment memory care community that serves those with dementia. “This year, we know families will have a great time—and we’re glad also to lend support to the Alzheimer’s Association.”
