Atascadero food pantry begins Community Challenge campaign
Board of Directors pledges matching funds up to $31,000
– The ALF Food Pantry Board of Directors has launched its 2025 Community Challenge Fundraiser, pledging to match donations up to $31,000 through Oct. 1.
The nonprofit provides groceries to food-insecure families in the community. According to the board, the number of people needing assistance has increased while grant support has decreased. ALF currently spends $15,000 each month to purchase food to supplement donations from local stores.
Donations may be made online at www.alffoodpantry.org/ways-to-give. Checks can be mailed to ALF Food Pantry, 5411 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422.
All contributions are tax-deductible and will be used to provide food for families in need.
