Atascadero motorcyclist arrested after high-speed chase 

–An Atascadero man was arrested last Thursday after leading police on a high-speed chase through Atascadero, reaching speeds between 80-to-100 miles an hour.

The chase began about 9:15 a.m. in the 5400 block of Carrizo Road after a resident called into dispatch about a motorcyclist “riding recklessly.” A second resident called in a short time later saying the motorcyclist claimed to have a gun, according to reports.

The pursuit ended when the motorcycle crashed in a vacant lot near Del Rio and El Camino.
