Atascadero Police Association endorses Tom O’Malley for mayor, Heather Moreno and Brian Sturtevant for city council

Atascadero police officers and dispatchers today announced their support of incumbent Mayor Tom O’Malley and incumbent Council Members Heather Moreno & Brian Sturtevant for reelection to the Atascadero City Council.
The Atascadero Police Association said in a press release it has considered the candidates for the upcoming Atascadero mayoral and city council seats and the members of the association unanimously support the incumbent candidates.
“The association acknowledges the hardships the City of Atascadero, its staff and the community has endured during the most recent recession,” the statement said. “The leadership shown by Mayor O’Malley and the current Council Members has been instrumental in the City’s ability to rebound financially. In addition the city’s leadership has shown vision to seek out and support beneficial opportunities for the City to become more financially solid.”
The Atascadero Police Association believes the City of Atascadero needs strong leaders who can work together cohesively during this time of financial recovery and we believe Mayor Tom O’Malley, Council Member Heather Moreno and Council Member Brian Sturtevant are the right people for the job, the statement said.
