    – The Atascadero Police Department will host its Women in Blue Leadership Camp on June 30 for students in grades 6 through 12.

The free one-day camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Colony Park Community Center in Atascadero. Lunch will be provided.

According to the police department, the camp is designed to educate students who are interested in leadership, public service, law enforcement, and criminal justice careers. Participants will have the opportunity to meet female law enforcement professionals, learn about career pathways, and take part in hands-on activities focused on the roles women serve in policing.

Activities will include meeting and learning from female officers and professionals, exploring careers in law enforcement and criminal justice, participating in hands-on forensic activities, watching a live K9 demonstration, and developing leadership skills while building connections with other participants.

The police department said space is limited, and registration is required by June 23. Participants can register here, or by using the QR code provided on the event flyer.
