Atheists United highway sign in Atascadero vandalized

– The Atheists United San Luis Obispo highway cleanup sign had been vandalized on southbound Highway 101 near Atascadero.
“AU SLO stands for reason, compassion, and tolerance for all people,” said Atheists United San Luis Obispo president Steven Arkowitz. “The highway sign is a symbol of the positive work we are dedicated to performing in our local community.”

Look for someone who spray paints an x in the upward direction. Writing an x in the up direction, in general, seems odd to me. I bet there might be finger prints on the gaurd rail. Has anybody contacted CalTrans to see if the mark was put there for the sign to be removed?
