Authorities seek help identifying hit-and-run suspect who injured bicyclist

The bike rider sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local area hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

–On Wednesday at approximately 7 p.m. a 55-year-old male was riding his bike home from work traveling northbound on Quintana Rd (up the hill) in Morro Bay in the bike lane on the east side of the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle also traveling northbound on Quintana Rd., according to Morro Bay Police.

The bike rider sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local area hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

Authorities seek help identifying hit-and-run suspect who injured bicyclist The possible suspect vehicle is a 2015 Chevy Colorado, royal or dark navy blue in color, with damage to the right front bumper of the vehicle.

The Morro Bay Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying or locating vehicles matching this description.
