Bank of the Sierra closes Paso Robles branch, re-directs customers to drive-through branches
–The Bank of Sierra branch in Paso Robles, located at 1207 Spring St., will be closed starting Monday out of concerns over the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. “This location is temporarily closed,” the bank said on its website.
The bank redirects its customers to, “please visit us at our San Luis Obispo or Arroyo Grande locations for drive-through service.” The San Luis Obispo branch at 500 Marsh Street has walk-up window hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and open till 6 p.m. on Fridays.
“Our branches with closed lobbies will continue to accept night drop deposits and process them as we normally do,” said bank spokesman Mitchell Lee.
“At Bank of the Sierra, the safety of our customers, employees, and communities remains our top priority,” a statement from the company said. “As the situation surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic evolves, we are closely monitoring the recommendations and directives from national, state, and local health officials. Our goal is to quickly and thoughtfully adapt to the changing circumstances, so we can remain responsive to your banking needs.”
“To help protect your health and the health of our other valued customers and team members, we are closing all Bank of the Sierra branch lobbies and will operate through our available drive-through and walk-up windows starting Monday, March 23, 2020.”
Bank warns of COVID-19 of scams
“Please be cautious of COVID-19 phishing scams and other forms of identity theft,” the bank said in a statement to customers. Bank of the Sierra will never ask for your personal information including Social Security numbers, account numbers, security questions, PINs, email addresses, or passwords via email, unsolicited phone calls, or text messages.
