Batch Ice Cream Shop in San Luis Obispo robbed at gunpoint 

Suspect described as white male adult, 30-40 years-old, 6’1″ tall with a thin build, clean shaven and short black hair

–On Wednesday evening at approximately 6:25 p.m., the San Luis Obispo Police Department received a 911 call reporting an armed robbery had just occurred inside the Batch Ice Cream Shop, located at 1108 Broad Street.

An unknown suspect entered the store and ordered food. He then produced a handgun, pointed it in the direction of the clerk and demanded the money from the cash register. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he demanded her cell phone and fled the business on foot towards Marsh Street. Responding officers located the cell phone on the ground a short distance from the store.

The suspect was described as a white male adult, approximately 30-40 years-old, 6’1” tall with a thin build, clean shaven and short black hair. He was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants and a black baseball cap with a white circular logo. The suspect did not attempt to conceal his face during the robbery. There was no vehicle seen at the location and it is unknown how the suspect traveled to the area.

Although shaken up, the clerk was not injured as a result of this crime.
