Year: Junior
Comment: “Maverick competed over the weekend at Clovis West where he proved himself by competing with some of the best in the state at his weight division. He has really come a long way. Excited to see how far he can go and what he can accomplish.” -Coach Nate Ybarra.
Athlete: Tre Clark
Year: Senior
Comment: “Tre had a big game last week before Thanksgiving when the Bearcats traveled to Reedley College to play a showcase game against the Los Banos Tigers. Tre led the way with 12pts and two critical plays down the stretch. He made a layup, which was fouled, and made a free throw. Then an assist to a teammate who made the shot to send it into overtime. The bearcats were able to hold on for a 59-53 win in overtime.” -Coach Chris Lopez

Athlete: Jordyn Van Pelt
Year: Sophomore
Comment: “Jordyn Van Pelt is a Sophomore in her first year on Varsity. She has started every game, played over 90% of the minutes, and stood as a Captain for one of the games. Jordyn is a silent leader that is working on using her voice to direct our defense. Jordyn shows up to every practice ready to improve her skills and always has a smile while doing it. Her confidence and hard work has really impressed us this season so far and we can’t wait to continue to watch her develop as a Varsity player.” -Head Coach Kylie Moore
