Annual event benefits Paso Robles High School athletic teams
The 21st Annual Paso Robles High School Bearcat Athletic Boosters Benefit Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 10 at the Paso Robles Golf Course, located at 1600 Country Club Drive. The Boosters have teamed up with the owners and staff of Paso Robles Golf Course for this annual fundraiser in order to raise much-needed funds for all athletic teams at PRHS.
The Boosters are looking for players and sponsors to participate in Saturday’s tournament, which starts at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Entry fee is $110 per player and includes golf towel, engraved beer glass, green fee, tee prizes, lunch and share of golf cart.
According to PRHS Athletic Director Tom Harrington, budget reductions in recent years at the state level have resulted in dramatic cuts in sports programs. In response to those cuts, the Boosters and the community of Paso Robles have found it necessary to provide most of the funding that is essential to ensure the Bearcat student-athletes continue to participate in interscholastic athletics.
Major tournament sponsors include Matt’s Smog & Car Care, Coast Hills Federal Credit Union, and Fox Hill Pool & Spa.
