Bearcat Cross Country team starts season in AG
The Paso Robles Bearcat Cross Country team will start its 2019 season this Saturday in Arroyo Grande.
The Bearcat runners have been training over the summer and recently completed their annual time trial where the Bearcats took a familiar route from Paso Robles High School, down Rambouillet, Stoney Creek Road, Creston Road, to Niblick for about 2.5 miles.
Their first meet is Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Arroyo Grande Big Ditch, Tally Field in Arroyo Grande, not Arroyo Grande High School. Parking at the meet is $5. For information on times, location, parking, and details of the race, click here.

Gabe Contreras, a PRHS junior, ran more miles this summer than last year and had a 2:21 improvement over last year’s time trial. Contreras struggled to run 8-9 minute pace his freshman year. He didn’t make excuses and has shown tremendous improvement.
