Bearcat JV softball team remains undefeated with dominant start
Young Bearcats rise to the challenge with solid team effort
– The Paso Robles High School Bearcat Softball Junior Varsity team has kicked off their season with an impressive 9-0 record, dominating their opponents with a combined score of 125 to 18. The team remains undefeated, boasting a 7-0 record in league play. With eight games left on their season schedule, the JV team continues to show remarkable performance.
The team’s success comes despite roster changes to provide much-needed depth to the varsity squad, which is predominantly made up of younger players. The Bearcat Softball program includes 14 freshmen, 7 sophomores, 2 seniors, and no juniors.
“Our young Bearcats are on a journey of growth while having to learn on the job,” said Andy MacDonald, director of Bearcat Softball and varsity head coach. “Effort, attitude, and tradition are the focal points for our program, and these Bearcats are rising to the occasion and stepping up to the plate.”
