Bearcat sports results for Feb. 6-8
–Paso Robles High School Director of Athletics, Anthony Morales, has announced the results of Bearcat athletics for Feb. 6-8.
Women’s Soccer
Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018: PRHS defeated Righetti High School 1-0.
Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018: PRHS defeated Mission College Prep 5-0.
PRHS women’s soccer advanced to the CIF Div. 4 Playoffs as a PAC 8 #3 wildcard selection and last night PRHS defeated Windward High School 3-0 in a CIF wildcard game.
The PRHS women’s soccer team will now be traveling to Ventura High School tomorrow Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 for a CIF Div. 4 Round 1 playoff game beginning at 5 p.m.
Men’s Soccer
Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018: PRHS defeated Righetti 2-1.
Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018: PRHS defeated Mission College Prep 6-0.
PRHS men’s soccer has advanced to the CIF Div. 3 Playoffs and will be playing at Newbury Park High School on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at 5 p.m.
Wrestling
PRHS student wrestling just competed in the PAC 7 Wrestling Championships this past weekend. PRHS finished in 2nd place behind Righetti High School. PRHS had two champions: 122 lbs. Dylan Maduena and 154 lbs. Julian Madrigal. PRHS qualified a total of 12 wrestlers for CIF. They are:
- 108 lbs. Austin Brenneman (finished 4th in the PAC 7)
- 115 lbs. Levi Lynch (finished 4th in the PAC 7)
- 122 lbs. Dylan Maduena (finished 1st in the PAC 7)
- 128 lbs. Porter Tanner (finished 3rd in the PAC 7)
- 134 lbs. Daede Murphy (finished 2nd in the PAC 7)
- 140 lbs. Michael Dominguez (finished 2nd in the PAC 7)
- 147 lbs. Justin Clays (finished 3rd in the PAC 7)
- 154 lbs. Julian Madrigal (finished 1st in the PAC 7)
- 162 lbs. Kyle Miller (finished 2nd in the PAC 7)
- 172 lbs. Hunter Deverick (finished 3rd in the PAC 7)
- 184 lbs. Ernie Trejo (finished 3rd in the PAC 7)
- 222 lbs. Blake Haupt (finished 3rd in the PAC 7)
All of these young men will be participating in the Northern CIF Division this coming Friday and Saturday Feb. 16 and Feb. 17 at Beaumont High School.
Women’s Water Polo
PRHS women’s water polo finished up 1-2 in league tournament. PRHS defeated San Luis Obispo High School 13-3 in the first round of competition.
Men’s Basketball
PRHS men’s basketball lost a close game last week to finish out the season. On Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 we lost by two points to Righetti High School 75-77 and on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 we lost to St. Joseph High School 63-78.
Women’s Basketball
PRHS women’s basketball lost a couple of games last week to finish out the season. On Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 we lost to eventual PAC 8 champion – Righetti High School 46-69 and on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 we lost a close one to Mission College Prep 38-43.
