Bearcat sports results for May 3 

–Paso Robles High School Director of Athletics, Anthony Morales, has announced the results of Bearcat athletics for May 3.

Swimming

On May 3, our men and women’s swim team participated in the PAC 8 Finals. We had an awesome performance by all of our swimmers. Great team effort.

PRHS highlights are the following:
Audrey Hughes – 1st 50 free, 100 back
Kendall Moffit – 1st 200 free, 2nd 500 free
Mackenzie Raymond – 2nd 200 free, 3rd 500 free
Audrey Hughes, Kendall Moffit, Mackenzie Raymond, Gabby Clayton – 1st 400 Free Relay
As a team our girls finished in second place for the PAC 8 and on the boys side our team finished in fourth place for the PAC 8.

PRHS had 11 new CIF Consideration Times.

CIF Preliminaries are next Friday in Riverside. Best of luck to all of our Bearcats.

Track

On May 3, all the hard work and efforts of our athletes and coaches paid off in a great showing at PAC 8 League Finals.

Overall our Bearcats did great things. Our frosh/soph boys and varsity girls finished fourth overall, our frosh/soph girls finished second overall, and our varsity boys walked away with the 2018 PAC 8 League Title. In total, the Bearcats had five F/S League Champions, six Varsity League Champions, 12 All League Performances, 21 athlete qualify to CIF in 22 events, two New League Record, three New Bearcat Top 10 Marks, one New School Record, and one League Championship.

Congrats to all our varsity boys that scored points leading to tonight’s league title. Jordan Summers, DaRon Snipes, Pablo Cortes, Ian Young, Steven Scruggs, Damian Gavilan, Brendan Farnsworth, Ian Grace, Jerahmy Kelley, Levi Marshall, Kaden Gallant, Dante Coletta, Corban Payne, Andrew Jenks, Micah Katz, Gabe Katches, Cade England, Clay Wilshusen, Connor Lacy, and Garrison Thomas.

Men’s Tennis

On May 3, PRHS played well at the PAC 8 League Tennis finals held at SLO High School. The Bearcats had two doubles teams and one singles player make it to rd 3 before being eliminated.

In singles:
Chase Diedrich, Rd 1: 8-1, Rd 2: 6-1, 6-3, Rd 3: 0-6, 0-6
Doubles:
Jason Belton- CJ Wilson, Rd 1: 8-1, Rd 2: Belton and Wilson had to play their teammates – Reese Eddy – Brysan Pesenti and lost 6-4, 6-1.
Pesenti and Eddy then played the number 3 seed from SLO and lost 6-2, 6-3.

PRHS fought hard and played well all the way to the end. We will now wait to see if we receive an at large bid, which will be announced on Monday by CIF.

Softball

Softball hosted A-town on May 4 at 4:30 p.m. JV’s at Liberty Field. Varsity on the varsity diamond.

Baseball

Varsity baseball hosted San Luis Obispo High School on May 4. The game began at 7 p.m.

Men’s Volleyball

Our men’s volleyball will be traveling to Paraclete High School in Lancaster on May 5 for a CIF Div. 3 wildcard game. Game time is set for 4 p.m. Good luck Bearcats.
