Bearcat swim team results for Mar. 9
–Paso Robles High School Head Swim Coach, Michael Stauret, has announced the results of the Bearcat swim team for Mar. 9.
This afternoon at Paul Nelson Pool, the Paso Robles Bearcats boys and girls swimmers took on St. Joseph High School. On a dreary day in Santa Maria, we saw complete domination by the Bearcats, taking first and second in every individual event. Some of the high points included the ladies 200 Medley Relay (Smeltzer, Christian, Clark, and Hughes) swimming a time only five seconds off the school record; a personal best for sophomore Jasen Line in the 100 free (53.68) and Nick Cave in the 100 Fly (58.2). All of this was very impressive considering a very exhausting couple of weeks at practice.
We also saw the JV step up and swim all the varsity events at their first meet of the year. Highlighted by Aiden Blond, Melanie Wilson, and Haley Norton in the 500 Freestyle; as well as Kelly Nguyen rocking the 100 Fly, all with personal best times! The team is excited and looking forward to our dual meet next Friday at San Luis Obispo.
