Bearcat weekend results for Dec. 12 

–Paso Robles High School Director of Athletics, Anthony Morales, has announced the results of Bearcat athletics for Dec. 12.

Basketball

Please congratulate our PRHS women’s basketball program as both our JV and varsity defeated San Luis Obispo High School in our first PAC-8 conference game. Please note: San Luis Obispo varsity was currently undefeated at 7-0 until last night when the Bearcats outscored the Tigers 39-37. Kim Buchanan lead Paso with 20 points. Sydney Meneses added 12, Hailey Abel with four, Lauren Prowse two, and Fattima Cevantes with one.

Water Polo

Our women’s water polo team traveled to Sinsheimer Pool for water polo. The Lady Bearcats played in their first league game last night against San Luis Obispo. The Bearcats started the scoring off strong with eight goals in the first quarter with seven different Bearcats scoring in that quarter. The Bearcats switched focus to defense for the rest of the game and scored three in the second and third and then two in the fourth. By the end of the game the Bearcats were able to complete the shutout with a score of 16-0. Mackenzie Raymond and Emily Christian scored three goals each. Audrey Hughes, Sarah Clark, Tatiana Smeltzer, and Halle Nash all had two a piece. Aubrey Pasky and Morgan Harrington each had one. The Lady Bearcats move to 5-3 (1-0 in league). They return to play Thursday at Nipomo High School where they face off against the Titans at 4 p.m.

Upcoming Games

Don’t forget Dec. 13, frosh men and women’s soccer vs. SLO and Student Wrestling vs. SLO.
Frosh girls at 4 p.m. and frosh boys at 6 p.m. Both games on the PRHS soccer field. JV Wrestling at 5 p.m. Varsity Wrestling at 6 p.m. Both matches inside the Gil Asa Gym.
