Bearcats baseball to face Atascadero this week 

–The Paso Robles boys baseball team lost to St. Joseph Friday at Barnhart Field by a score of 3-2. The Bearcats are now 2-2 in conference play. They play Atascadero in two games this week. The first game is Wednesday at Atascadero.

The Paso Robles girls softball team beat Templeton 5-0 at Vineyard Athletic Park. Becca Stroud went 2-4 with a double and 4 RBIs.

Templeton’s boys baseball team lost to Arroyo Grande 7-2 on Friday night. Saturday, they beat to Immanuel 4-2 in Reedley.

The Atascadero boys baseball team lost to San Luis Obispo 9-6 Friday afternoon at Atascadero High School.

The Atascadero girls softball team hosts St. Joseph tomorrow afternoon.

PRHS Swim at Clovis West Invitational

Paso Robles High School Swimming had another great day in the pool March 20. Nine girls lowered or achieved a CIF automatic times. The current school record holder in the 100 Fly, Holly DiSimone, lowered her current time to 57.76. Tatiana Smeltzer missed a second school record by 1.6 seconds in the 100 Back. Freshman Ava Hughes earned her first two CIF swim times in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Back. Varsity Boys (Timmy Nguyen, Joshua Picard, Elijah Hanauer, John “Tre” Eade) netted a second CIF Qualifying time in the 200 Medley Relay. 24 teams attended the Clovis West Invitational, the combined Paso boys and girls placed fourth. In the girls’ division Paso Robles placed 4th and the boys came in 10th in their division.
