Bearcats beat Arroyo Grande 7-1 Friday 

The Paso Robles Bearcats beat Arroyo Grande 7-1 Friday to complete a three-game sweep of the third-place Eagles.

Nolan Binkele threw a complete game, giving up three hits and one unearned run. Binkele also hit 2-4 with 2 RBI’s. Seth Matthysse went 3-4 with 2 runs and one RBI. Will Stroud hit two sacrifice flies with 3 RBI’s.

The Bearcats finish the season tied for first place in the PAC-8 conference with Righetti. Each team has a conference record of 18-3, but Righetti beat the Bearcats in two of three games, so Righetti is seeded first in the play-offs. Overall, the Bearcats were 23-7.

The playoff brackets will be announced at 10:00 am on Monday, May 15th.
