Bearcats beat Greyhounds 48-7
The Templeton Eagles beat Nipomo 27-16 Friday night at Templeton High School.
–The Paso Robles Bearcats beat Atascadero 48-7 on a chilly Friday night at War Memorial Stadium.
The Bearcats jumped out to a 13-7 lead in the first quarter, then held the Greyhounds scoreless the rest of the game. They scored 14 in the second quarter to take a 27-7 halftime lead. The Bearcats added 21 in the second half to punctuate their dominance over the Greyhounds.
The Bearcats end their season with a record of 3-7. They went 0-3 in the Mountain League, although they lost to Arroyo Grande and St. Joseph by identical scores of 21-20. The Greyhounds end the season with a record of 3-7, but finished 1-3 in the Pac-4 League.
The Templeton Eagles beat Nipomo 27-16 Friday night at Templeton High School. Senior Marino D’Alfonso completed two touchdown receptions and intercepted a Nipomo pass near the end zone to stop a Titan scoring drive. Tyler Kaschewski ran for one TD and passed two to D’Alfonso.
The Eagles end the regular season with a record of 9-1. They were 3-0 in the Ocean League. They will learn of their first-round opponent in the CIF-Central Section play-offs at noon on Saturday.
