Bearcats beat Mt. Whitney

Lucas Climer lays down bunt single in 1st inning.
–The Paso Robles boys baseball team beat Mt. Whitney of Visalia 3-1 Friday night at Barnhart Field at Paso Robles High School. Ryan Harvel threw seven innings for the Bearcats for the complete game victory.
The Bearcats scored twice in the first inning. The first four batters reached base without an out, although only two crossed the plate. Those two runs gave the Bearcats enough to win the game, but after giving up a run in the 5th inning, they scored an insurance run in the 6th. The Pioneers loaded the bases in the 7th, but Harvel struck out the final batter for the win.
The Bearcats improve to 6-2 for the year. The Mt. Whitney Pioneers fall to 2-8. The Bearcats travel Saturday to take on Righetti at 12:00 noon. Lucas Climer or Jakob Wright will likely get the start for the Bearcats.
