Bearcats compete against Nipomo in first home track meet this year 

–The Paso Robles High School Bearcats Cross County men’s and women’s teams won against Nipomo in the first home track meet for the student-athletes this year.

There is an upcoming San Luis Obispo Dual Meet on Saturday, March 13 at Paso Robles High School.

Bearcat Women’s Water Polo update

Last week, the Bearcat Women’s Water Polo team opened their 2021 season with a home game vs. Santa Ynez. The Pirates opened up the game with three unanswered goals until Paso scored their first goal with 1:01 left in the first period.  At the half, Santa Ynez built a six to a two-goal lead. In the third quarter was able to answer with a few goals but Santa Ynez was able to score four goals in the period making it a 10 to five score for the Pirates at the end of the 3rd period. In the fourth period, Paso was able to hold Santa Ynez scoreless but Paso was only able to score two goals in the period making the game final 10 to seven Santa Ynez. Leading scores for Santa Ynez with five goals was Faye Luke and four goals for Sydray Gills, Tabitha Pearigen scored the one other goal. For Paso Robles Allison Hernandez led the team with five goals, Milan Richmann and Leanna Reed score one goal each.  Goalie Kaytlin Hebrand had an outstanding game with 19 goalie saves.  The Lady Bearcats will have a rematch with the Pirates at Santa Ynez on Wednesday, March 10 at 3:30 p.m.
