Bearcats Compete and win in AP statistics and calculus contest 

Paso Robles High School Hall of FameOn Tuesday, April 29, eight Paso Robles High School Advanced Placement students, divided into two teams, competed with 23 other teams from 15 different high schools throughout central California in the 7th Annual AP Statistics and Calculus Contest at Ridge View High School. The Bearcats won 2nd and 4th place overall in this team competition.

The 2nd place team consisted of Jamika Martin, Angela Lorenzo, Bryan McGuffin, and Nickie Gurney. The 4th place team consisted of Ethan Serpa, Warren Willis, Mitchell Keller, and Matt Mihelic. The two teams are sponsored/coached by the PRHS Statistics teacher, Rich Schimke.

This marks the second year that the Bearcats have competed in this academic competition, having won 1st place last year with a single team!
