Bearcats cross country competes at Golden Eagle Invitational

–On Sept. 21, all the Bearcats traveled to Woodward Park to compete in the Golden Eagle Invitational hosted by Clovis West (3.1 miles). There were great performances from all the Bearcats in the 95-degree weather.

Varsity Boys raced well placing 4th out of 23. Of the fastest were Pablo Cortes in 4th (16:34), Damian Gavilan in 7th (16:35) and Jason Scruggs in 21st (17:18).

Varsity Girls also raced well placing 5th out of 23 teams. Of the fastest were Madeline Loff 14th (20:55), Jasmine Rangel 34th (22:04) and Jessica Jagger 47th (22:23).

Another notable performance was done by the JV Girls Team with 5 of the Bearcats placing in the top 15. They placed 2nd out of 16 teams. Emily Mathein 3rd (22:46), Jaiden Anguiano 7th (23:15), Mya Castelli 8th (23:18), Sarah Jagger 10th (23:35), Molly Came 13th (23:53) and Clara Lundy 15th (24:01).
