Bearcats lose homecoming game

Final score was 35-28

–The Paso Robles Bearcats lost to the Arroyo Grande Eagles 35-28 at War Memorial Stadium. The second consecutive defeat dropped the Bearcats to 5-2 for the season.

Turnovers cost the Paso Robles Bearcats 14 points and allowed the Eagles to build a 28-14 lead. The Bearcats came back late in the game to pull within seven points, but time ran out before they could stage another come-from-behind victory.

The Bearcats fall to 5-2 for the season, 0-1 in the Pac-5 Conference. The Eagles improve to 6-1 and 1-0.Paso Robles High School Varsity  Bearcats vs Arroyo Grande Eagles

The Bearcats played their Homecoming game without running back Christian Erickson, who is battling an infection. His status for next week is unknown.

Next Friday, the Bearcats host San Luis Obispo High School. The Tigers are 0-7 and 0-1 in the Pac-5. After the Bearcats, the Tigers play Atascadero and Arroyo Grande.

Next Friday’s game will be played at War Memorial Stadium in Pasp Robles.
