    Bearcats qualify for CIF track and field division three finals 

    Over the weekend, thirteen Bearcats traveled 550 miles to Costa Mesa’s Estancia High School, to compete in the California Interscholastic Federation or CIF division three track and field preliminaries. Despite the windy and cool weather and tough competition, seven Bearcats finished within the top nine in their events in division three.

    • Ashley Davis qualified sixth in the 1600m
    • Madison Moore qualified second in the 800m
    • Kristen Thompson qualified fifth and sixth in the Shot and Discus
    • Codie Wilshusen qualified seventh in the Pole Vault
    • Zachary Chamberlain qualified third in the 3200m

    Moore and Davis will also be joined by Gwen Lundy and Claire Farrell in the girls 4x400m relay event. This team of four qualified fourth overall.

    CIF division three finals will be this Saturday, May 23, at Cerritos Community College in Norfolk.
