Bearcats softball team beats San Luis Obispo 

Bearcat sports paso robles high school–The Paso Robles girls softball team beat San Luis Obispo 6-2 Friday afternoon. Junior Becca Stroud and Senior Lya Abel each scored two runs for the Bearcats. They were each 1-3 at the plate and each had an RBI. Freshman pitcher Jaiden Ralson picked up the win for the Bearcats. Over seven innings she faced 27 hitters. She gave up 4 hits, but no earned runs. She struck out six, and walked only one. The softball team travels to Arroyo Grande Tuesday to take on the Eagles at 4:30.

The Paso Robles boys baseball team lost to El Diamante 4-1 at Barnhart Field Friday afternoon. Riley Swarthout scored the only run in the game for the Bearcats. Paso Robles hosts Seaside of at 6 p.m. Saturday night. Seaside is 3-2 for the season. After the two losses this week to El Diamante of Visalia, the Bearcats are 6-5. Paso Robles baseball team opens conference play against the undefeated San Luis Obispo Tigers on Wednesday at Paso Robles High School.

The Atascadero girls softball team beat the Amador Buffaloes 9-1 Friday afternoon at a tournament in Bakersfield. Bailee Crawford went 2-3 at the plate and scored one run. Pitcher Bailey Doherty gave up one hit and one earned run in six innings, and picked up the win for the Greyhounds. Doherty also went 3-4 at the plate with two RBI’s. Atascadero plays at Templeton at 4:30 on Tuesday. That may be a good match up with two aces, Ashley Daugherty for the Eagles, and Bailey Doherty for the Greyhounds. Both pitches have thrown no-hitters this season.

The Atascadero boys baseball team got clobbered by Righetti 12-2. Justin Vose went 2-3 at the plate for the Greyhounds. The Greyhounds host Templeton on Wednesday at 4:30.

The Templeton girls softball team lost to Righetti 2-1 in Santa Maria Friday afternoon. Ashley Daugherty picked up her first loss of the season. The Eagles fall to 1-1 in league play, 4-1 overall.

The Templeton boys baseball team lost to San Luis Obispo 7-2. The Tigers remain undefeated at 10-0. They play at Paso Robles High School Wednesday afternoon.
